Start of the Kashmir dispute: Partition of the Sub-Continent on the religious basis has some bearing on Jammu Kashmir state. On 15 August 1947, the British Rule ended in India and with it ended the British paramountacy that release the state of Jammu Kashmir from all its obligations to the British, hence Kashmir emerged as a fully independent country. After lapse of paramountacy the state of Jammu Kashmir possessed all the attributes of a sovereign state so Government of Pakistan signed a stand still agreement with the ruler of the state Maharaja. Because Maharaja as well as the majority political party "National Conference" wanted to remain independent. But violating the agreement Pakistan entered tribal into Kashmir. As a result Maharaja had to accede with India as temporary measure to get her help to quell the rebellion. India entered her forces in the state on Oct 27, 1947. And captured 2/3 of the state and still maintain its hold, rest 1/3 territory of the state is under control of Pakistan is in two portion with two different dispensations. |

COMPLEXITY OF THE ISSUE:- India maintains that since the ruler of the state Maharaja who was competent to accede to either country has acceded to her. She is within the right to rule over whole the Jammu Kashmir, on the other hand Pakistan thinks that since majority of the population in Jammu Kashmir is Muslim, so she has the right to occupy whole of the Jammu Kashmir. India and Pakistan fighting one after another war to strengthen their hold on whatever portion is in their possession, and to capture more and more of it. One claims it her Jagular vein and other claims it her integral part. Thus they prepared their agents/ politician on both sides in their favor. In this situation whenever people of Jammu Kashmir got chance they shown their resistance. In 1984 the martyrdom of Maqbool Ahmed Butt Poured the oil on this fire. In Indian held Kashmir people started armed struggle in 1988 against occupation. But in the early stages religious fanatics and fundamentalists hijacked this popular national liberation movement. Thus a controlled terrorism through sponsored leadership made Kashmir issue more complexed. National Awami Party :Click Here SOLUTION OF THE ISSUE :- Jammu Kashmir National Liberation Front in the light of experience gained from armed and political struggle suggest and prepared a road map for solution of Kashmir issue which is according to the wishes and aspirations of the people of all religions, faiths, races and cultures, who are living in any part of the divided state. It also does not hurt the egos of India and Pakistan. CLAUSE ONE: POLITICAL AND ECONOMICAL INDEPENDANCE Geographically, Jammu Kashmir is consists on five units. Which are Kashmir valley, Jammu, Ladakh, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan. (First three are under control of India and last two under control of Pakistan) these five units should be given political and economical independence, and they all should have the right to protect their interests and trade with each other and with India and Pakistan. EXPLAINATION: In presence of this clause people of different units and areas will not feel uncertainty and it will make them confident that they have right of self-rule. They can spend their natural resources on people of the respective area. It could stop the political conspiracies and thus Ideology of nationalism will flourish. CLAUSE TWO CONFIDERATION AMONG UNITS: All five units should sign an agreement for a confederation. Then a confederal council should be constituted which have the equal number of the member from each unit. This confideral council should have the powers to run the foreign affairs communication, currency and defense. EXPLAINATION: Willingly constituted union is called confederation. Equal number of the elected member from each unit will constitute a confideral council, which will have only four subjects along with. This council will represent the unity of the state and would be responsible for harmony and balance among the confederal units. Thus no unit can usurps the rights of another. CLAUSE THREE CURRENCY: Since last half century the currencies of India and Pakistan are used in different part of the state, it is needed to balance them in Jammu Kashmir State and than use it as foreign exchange. EXPLAINATION: Currencies of India and Pakistan are used in respective portions of state. And people become familiar to them. This suggestion came on surface that before, 2010. a Common currency (Rupa) will be introduced in south Asia, So until 2010 currencies of India and Pakistan can be used in Jammu Kashmir. CLAUSE FOUR DEFENSE: India and Pakistan should sign on agreement with Jammu Kashmir, and shall take the responsibility of defense of the state for next 15 years. On lapse of this period, the responsibility of security and defense Will ultimately go to the confederal council. EXPLAINATION: India and Pakistan have been defending the respective portions of the Kashmir, which are under their control. 1. Total withdrawal of troops at once from Kashmir is not possible for, India and Pakistan. 2. In this case religions fanatics and fundamentalists would try to get power, which can turned the state in to civil war. 3. Pakistan and India will feel security of their interest in the state. This road map prepared according to the wishes and aspiration of the people of the state and it is only practicable solution of the issue. This road map does not hurt the egos of India and Pakistan, because international community wants a solution of Kashmir issue according to the satisfaction of all concerned parties. |
